Welcome to the K•A•CARE Renewable Energy Competitive Procurement Portal

This portal is an interactive platform for potential bidders interested in participating in the Competitive Procurement Process (CPP) for the Renewable Energy Program of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).  The successive Competitive Procurement rounds and related documentation will be posted on this portal. In addition, this portal will also serve as a conduit to receive bidders’ feedback and procurement submissions.

This portal will enable you to:

  • Learn about K•A•CARE's renewable energy vision for the Kingdom, including the program stages and timeline and the related Overview of the Competitive Procurement Process (CPP).
                                                                  
  • View the CPP White Paper  (under the tab “For Developers”) which offers a more detailed process and specific goals for the program.
     
  • Submit feedback on the CPP White Paper for K•A•CARE to consider in finalizing the subsequent documents.
     
  • Register your entity  to gain access to the successive Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and to receive the latest news and updates related to the Program Status & Timeline.

 

Welcome to King Abdullah City for Atomic & Renewable energy.The K•A•CARE's Renewable Energy procurement program will be among the largest of its kind, proposed to resulting in 54 GW of power generation capacity by 2032. The program has strong underlying economic fundamentals given the value of saved oil and the development of the local value chain. The Competitive Procurement rounds will seek a diversity of technologies and developers, with selection based on both price and non-price factors.

Competitive Procurement Process for the Renewable Energy Program

Overview

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)’s renewable energy Competitive Procurement Program (CPP) is being designed applying best practices from similar procurements worldwide, and customized to meet KSA’s energy mix targets. Multiple procurement rounds preceded by an Introductory Round are being envisioned over the first two to three years of the program.
